I hate to be one of those annoying, overprotective moms but . . .
if my child is doing nothing more than swinging, and your (older) child is trying to hit her and throw things at her, and you do nothing because you are paying absolutely no attention to your child - then I might get a little perturbed. (Of course, you'll never know that I'm annoyed becuase I never speak up.) :)

Laughing hysterically here! Couldn't have said it better myself. I think some Mom's think I am a nut when I correct Maggie in public at the playground. But I'm not always just doing it for M's benefit, but for the "other child" or the MOM!
Oh, I'm completely the opposite. I have NO problem correcting a child if they are being mean, disrespectful, or doing something dangerous around my kid (or a kid I'm babysitting.) Mean kids just make me so mad. And clueless parents too :)
