Oh, and the *almost* that I was going to get to - the air went out in our car on the way home!! Our NEW car, grrrr. So we dropped it off at the dealorship on the way home, but the good news is that it is under warranty and they say it is an easy fix.

Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day, *almost* everything's going my way . . .
I can't remember what musical that is from, but it's a catchy tune. I add the *almost* because not quite everything is going my way, but I'll get to that. It is FINALLY nice here again, the past week has been cold, rainy, and dreary. I know I always say this, but I had every intention of actually taking Isabella somewhere to finally get some professional pictures taken, since I've been just taking them myself for the last year and half, but since we have no in store (which I love) photographers (Sears, Penney's, etc.) around here the only other options are A) Wal-Mart and B) ultra expensive portrait studios. I like the way Wal-Mart pictures turn out, but unfortunately the Wal-Mart photographers around here are, well, not exactly the nicest people and make it quite obvious they don't like their job, which in turn makes it a bad experience for everyone. And option B, I just don't want to fork out that much money for only 2 and a half year pictures. So I gave it another try this morning. We went to ____ Gardens (I don't want to say the whole name, as I don't like the whole world wide web to know where we live). It was a little early for everything to be in bloom, but it was still SO pretty, I haven't been there in years. Isabella loved all the flowers, especially the purple ones (her favorite color). We had so much fun walking along all the paths, I don't think we even got to everything, but we'll have to go back sometime and take Daddy with. Isabella did have her first experience with a Port-a -potty, eww. She was fine with it, I was the grossed out one. If you know me well, it won't surprise you to know that the minute Isabella walks in to a public restroom she raises her hands up and says, "It is germy in here, I won't touch ANYTHING Mommy!" Ah yes, I have trained her well. Anyway, here are a few random pictures from the morning, although pictures really don't do the place justice. And I'll try to get the actual 2 and a half year pictures I took of her on here later.

Lucky you - we're STILL cool and dreary. I'm not minding too much because I prefer the cool, but the humidity is pretty yucky. It's helped us get out for walks, though, and that is good.
For pictures, I was lucky to come up with an option C - I have a friend who does some side photography (in addition to staying home with her kids, babysitting, cake decorating - you know the type) and I caught her on a visit to her parents' so I didn't have to pay mileage. For a $40 sitting fee, we spent 1.5 hours or so at a park, and did 3 outfits. I was pretty pleased, although Goose was kind of biting her lip as she was smiling and they pics don't look quite like her. No fault of the photographer, just the nature of the toddler. Now I just need to get some ordered!
I LOVE the germ comment - that is so how I feel! Hope the a/c is fixed soon - I'd just about rather have the brakes go out than my air. :>) Just about.
Wow those gardens look gorgeous! I always think the background is really what makes the picture look so cool. I don't blame you at all for not getting professional photos. We never have either. At least you make the effort to go somewhere nice and get pictures. I like Lenetta's option C. I've just got to find a photographer friend!
The workers at our Walmart portrait studio sound pretty similar to the ones at your's. Maybe it's a prerequisite for getting a job there. :-)
But I still went ahead and had Madison's pictures taken there earlier this week. They all really turned out well that I had a hard time deciding on which ones to get. I guess I figure that since the pictures ended up turning out so well, I can handle putting up with a little bit of attitude for the time I was there.
Your pictures always turn out so awesome though - far better than Walmart quality - that I don't think I would ever pay to have pictures taken if I had your talent (and your camera!).
It's Oklahoma:)
Your Gardens look awesome. We have a really wonderful one here too and your pics remind me of ours some.
Isabella has such a great complexion despite the cold and dreary:) She looks like she's been in the sun:)
