We had our priest over for supper the other night, he was talking about how he's starting a Spanish Mass. It came up in conversation that that was my major in college. Today he called and asked if he could come over and have me help him. He recorded me reading different parts of the Mass, the readings for this weekend, and the Gospel, so that he could listen to them and get the pronunciations right. It's been a while since I've put that to use . . .

Haha that's great! I minored in Spanish and Madeleine has one book in spanish, and she knows "Where is Thumbkin" and "Head shoulders knees and toes" in Spanish. I supposed I'm using my degree too.. a little!
This morning when she woke up she was singing the last line to "where is thumbkin" - "Ya me voy! Ya me voy!" I was cracking up :)
That's wonderful, Angela!
I'm making fajitas tonight. And I didn't even major or minor in Spanish! Ha.
Also, the other night, I was bathing the boys and Simon was FINISHED with the bath, so I took him out. He wandered to the toilet paper and starting unwinding it as fast as he could. Meanwhile, I was washing Isaac's hair, so I desperately called to Bill, "Ayuda me! Ayuda me!" He came to my rescue before all the tp was gone. The next day, Isaac saw Simon going for the toilet paper in the same manner, and Isaac yelled, "Ayuda me!" Those kids are sponges.
Bet Isabella knows her share of Spanish, too!
And good for you, inviting the priest over for dinner!
That's so cool! Brownie points for you:)
That's my degree, too, and I couldn't put it to use if I wanted to! Good for you though!!
