Pictures are about all I have time for . . .

I have to say, this is so much easier the second time around! Emotionally, I'm a million times better this time, too. I have had a couple of blue days since being on my own after having my mom here, then Monte's mom, I had 11 days of help, and it was great! Jaymes had another Dr. appt. today, and although he's still not quite up to his birth weight at two weeks old, he did gain 8 ounces in a week, so that was good news. Now I don't have to take him in for any more weight checks. Starting this Monday, my Bible study group starts bringing meals, they emailed me the schedule today, and we'll be having meals brought until the end of September!! So much for losing the baby weight! :) One of these days I hope to write more, and get Jaymes' birth story written down . . .

We gave her this baby boy doll as a big sister present.

Jaymes is a great sleeper, he's a very content little guy, and allows me to get a lot done! I'm glad he's so content because his sister is taking a lot of my attention during this adjustment time.

A few pics

We are enjoying our sweet baby boy so much!! He is a really good baby, and is carrying on the tradition of his sister by sleeping all. the. time! This would be totally fine with me if he would just wake up to eat, but he's not always all too interested in eating either. He was 7 lbs. 8 oz. when we left the hospital, which I know is completely normal and expected to lose weight right away, but one week later he is 7, 7. So I have to keep taking him in for weight checks. I'm not too concerned about it, though, because he is a good nurser when he decides he's hungry, he's very content, and we're changing plenty of diapers. He was completely uninterested in eating the first 4 days, so I had to pump just to bring my milk in. He seems so tiny to us that it's hard to believe his sister was almost 3 pounds less than him! At his one week check up, his length was in the 90th percent, weight in the 50th percent, and head size in the 10th percent! It's totally different bringing home a full term baby this time, it's definitely not as worrisome, and being able to come home from the hospital at the same time was amazing. We've had steady company since we came home from the hospital, and my mom was here for 6 days, and now my mother-in-law is staying with us, that's been really nice, and extremely helpful!

About 15 minutes after he was born.

37 Weeks!

I cannot believe I made it to full term! It just goes to show how different each pregnancy can be, and to think that my first doctor told me I was more likely to deliver even earlier this time. I am officially off my anti-contraction meds, thank goodness! It was so weird going to my appt. today, during my pregnancy with Isabella and so far throughout this whole pregnancy the doctor and nurse were always asking me how my contractions were because it was a bad thing. Now today, they were acting all excited when asking about my contractions, I just can't believe I'm at this point. I've dilated more, and my doctor wants to see me in less than a week, instead of my usual weekly appt. I asked him to make a prediction, and he said he still thought it would be another week to week and a half. I cannot wait to have this baby, I'm so excited!! I even have all my "before baby comes" projects done that I wanted to do. My main project was going through all my pictures and putting them in photo albums, it was a huge job because I hadn't done anything with them since Isabella was about 11 months old. I vow to keep on top of that now! And the nesting is a bit out of control - I'm sure the baby will really appreciate that every piece of crystal was taken out of the china cabinet and washed in anticipation of his or her arrival! I've made up some freezer meals as well. We should be set when it comes to food, since my mom will be coming to stay the first week home from the hospital, Monte's mom will be coming the following week, then my awesome Bible Study friends bring meals for about 3 weeks straight. Between all that and my freezer meals we should be set for about the first 6 weeks!

Wrong kind of cream!

I overheard Isabella talking to one of her babies earlier today -

"Here sweetie, lets change your diaper and put some sour cream on your bottom."
